Lush Arndale Beauty School

I was fortunate enough to be invited to the Lush Blogger Beauty School in The Manchester Arndale yesterday. Even though I don't really comment or blog much about beauty and skin care products, I am an actual skin care freak believe it or not. I always try my best to take care of my skin the best way possible. As I have really sensitive skin it means I basically got to know my stuff otherwise, boo boo I'm going to go a little cray cray if I wake up to a horrible break out. As you all know that ain't so fleeky.

So YES I was invited to Lush blogger beauty event, I was super excited as I have never been invited to a beauty event before so I knew it was going to be a little different. I have a few times popped into Lush prior to the event but if I am totally honest I am not a regular of Lush products, but let me tell you that has definitely changed after this event.
For those who are not completely aware of Lush, Lush is a fresh handmade cosmetic brand which provide products for body, face, hair, makeup and perfume. Great thing about Lush is they are 100% vegetarian (YAY), they support ethical buying, fighting animal testing (DOUBLE YAY) and naked packaging.

Upon arrival I was welcomed by the Lush team, who by the way are such a lovely and enthusiastic bunch. I also got to meet other fellow bloggers and have a little chit chat. We were then given a little piece of paper that had the group number we were in, I bought a friend (my beautiful sae sae) along with me so we were in the same group (woop!). We were then to go around in our groups to three different task, the first task for our group was making bath bombs! We entered the green room and had the opportunity to create a bubble bar called the 'Comforter' which had the distinctive scent of blackcurrant. I must say it was  not easy to mix the ingredients and create the unique pattern that the bubble bars have... as noted my failed attempt below (cri with meh).

The second product we got to produce was the 'Ickle Baby Bot' this was made up of Lavender and Sodium Bicarbonate. This bath bomb is suitable for younger children from the age of six months. It's designed to take care of children's delicate skin, the lavender is also known as a calming aromatherapy oil which is also used as medicine to treat irritable skin, sunburn and insect bites. To create the shape of the 'baby bot' was a lot less complex than the comforter as we were given a mold to fill in.

The second task we had the chance to look through was the hair products that are available such as; Sea spray, hair custard, and different types of henna. We were given a live demonstration of how to use the henna and how to apply it to the hair which was very useful. We were also given tips and tricks on how to use and style the scarves that were given in our goody bags.

The third and best part was MAKE UP! A girlies' best freeeend! We were told that there were only three stores that had the make up range in store in the world which were Manchester (Oh yaa), London and Hong Kong. We were given a live demonstration of lush makeup being put on, and I instantly fell in love with the eye jewels! Oh wow they were such pigmented eye shadows and so so pretty. I also fell in love with their 'Victorious' highlighter again so pigmented and so glowy.
I must say their makeup collection was stunning and I will definitely be making a trip back to Lush to get me some makeup goodies!

Overall the Lush Beauty Event was such an amazing and insightful experience, I most certainly learnt a lot more about Lush. I'm so glad I had the opportunity to be part of it and had such a lovely night. I absolutely recommend checking Lush out girlies, especially if you're from Manchester to check out Lush in Arndale, and their stunning make up selection you won't be disappointed.

I hope you enjoyed my very long post, I tried to keep it as short as I could for you guys. But that is it from me lovelies and I shall pot again real soon hopefully! Thank you for reading :)

Ooo I thought I would just end it with some yummy "Lush" cupcakes- made by Colin of course!
